Public Transport

Best to always check in with your chosen Public Transport if you are going on an important journey.

On Island Line Buses run instead of trains on Island Line between Ryde Esplanade and Ryde Pier Head due to engineering works. Until 2nd May 2025.

Due to the easter Holidays be aware there is a lot more Traffic on the Islands roads than normal.

Road closures

In Oakfield Trinity Street from Belle Vue Road and Wood street until 24th April

In Bembridge, Sandown Road will be closed  one day between Monday, 14th April and Wednesday, 17th April.

In Rookley, Highwood Lane will be shut for five days between Monday, 14th April and Thursday, 18th April, for lining work.

Main Road in Chillerton will be closed for five days for lining  work.

Billingham Shute in Shorwell will be closed for five days for lining work.

New Road in Gatcombe will also be closed for five days for lining work, and Steyne Road in Bembridge will be shut for drainage works for one day between 

Monday, 14th April and Wednesday, 16th April.

Park Road in Wootton will be closed from 8am on Monday, 14th April, until 5pm on Friday, 9th May, for utility works.

In Gurnard at Woodvale Road  from Baring Road to Jordan Close. Until 29th July.

Temporary lights

In Wootton Bridge on Park Road both ways between A3054 Lushington Hill and Briddlesford Road. Until 23rd May.

In Cowes on York Street both ways between B3320 Bridge Road and Langley Road. Until 0:00 on 14th April.
