Introducing the Team

Martyn Bonner (Host)

I joined the Vectis Radio team in February 2021 and I’ve loved every minute of it! My music taste covers nearly all decades and genres but with a strong affection for dance music and I love to get lost mixing records. I have also been trying to teach myself to play guitar over the last couple of years, but it’s fair to say I don’t think I will be forming a band anytime soon.

I’m also an avid fan of most sports, although my big passions lie with football, boxing and basketball. I try to keep active but I am more of a spectator than participant these days and as a lifelong supporter of Arsenal FC I have enough heart ache without putting my body through any more unnecessary trauma.

Louise ‘Luigi’ Gambling (Co-Presenter)

I’m Louise, aka Luigi to my Vectis Radio buddies. I’m so excited to be joining Martyn Bonner on the Thursday afternoon show. It’s an interesting partnership given that I’m a Spurs fan and he supports Arsenal! But, seriously, everyone has been so welcoming at the station. I’m a keen beginner who has always had an interest in current affairs. I’m hoping to learn new skills whilst brightening up Thursday afternoons with a bit of banter and a spotlight on local news stories and events from the week. I might even see if we can sneak in some classic rock to the show (my favourite music genre)…
